Did you know the core and glutes are the center of movement? These muscles are key players for posture and mobility, so you don’t want to skip the Core & Glute Workout I’ve put together for you. The free download is available at the bottom of this post.
A Little Anatomy
Your glutes are the largest, most important group of muscles in your body. They are vital to movements such as walking and going up steps. The largest gluteus muscles are the gluteus maximus. They help propel you forward when you walk or run. The gluteus medius and minimus stabilize the pelvic and promote hip abduction (lifting the leg to the side) and thigh rotation.
Strong glutes help protect you from knee, hip, and back injuries. They also provide support for your spine for pelvic stability and good posture.
Core exercises train the muscles in your pelvis, lower back, hips, and abdomen to work together. Strong core muscles lead to better balance and stability. They also make it easier to do activities such as golfing, running, and bending to tie your shoes.
Your Core & Glute Workout
The workout I’ve created for you will have your core and glute muscles screaming–in a good way. You’ll be alternating from your abs to your glutes through seven exercises. For the best results, complete the circuit 3-5 times.
After you’ve done the workout, come back here and leave a comment to let us know how you did!
