Recently, in the early morning hours, the Lord gently nudged me awake. He revealed something I hadn’t fully realized: my faith was strong, but my hope was weak. It caught me by surprise. I had been trusting Him with my upcoming transplant, believing He would provide, but I realized I wasn’t actively placing my hope in God for what lies beyond that surgery.
Maybe you’ve felt this too—your faith is strong, but your hope feels fragile. This is a common struggle when uncertainty looms. The good news is that hope is an active choice to trust God, even when the outcome remains unknown.
Isaiah 40:31 and Renewed Strength
As I searched the Word for guidance, I was reminded of Isaiah 40:31: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
This scripture reminds us to turn not only our faith but also our hope toward God, because He is where our strength is renewed. Even when we don’t know what tomorrow holds, placing our hope in God gives us the courage to keep moving forward. Not just enough to get through the day, but enough to soar, to run, and to keep moving forward even when we feel exhausted.
Placing Your Hope in the Lord
Where do you need renewed strength today? Where has hope been too heavy for you to carry alone? The invitation is simple: place your hope in the Lord. He promises to carry you farther than your own strength ever could.
Paul emphasizes this truth in Romans 15:13: “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” We don’t need to find hope within ourselves—God fills us, providing us joy, peace, and courage for today, and hope for tomorrow.
If your faith feels strong but your hope is running low, let this be a gentle encouragement: God has more for you than survival. He offers you hope rooted in His promises and the strength you need to keep going.
What a beautiful reflection about hope Lana. God have given you the gift to touch souls with your words. I’m sure He will carry you through this time and make your hopes a reality.
Thank you so much for those kind words. I truly believe God is the One guiding every word, and I’m grateful when He uses my writing to encourage others. Your encouragement means a lot in this season, and I’m trusting right alongside you that He will carry me through and bring His plans to life in His perfect timing.
